This paper analyzes the causes leading to serious damage to a great amount of motors,and presents the development of an intelligent monitoring protection system controlled by the 80C196KC microcomputer for use with motors as well as shows some new judgements on the motor breakdown.The main design idea on both hardware and software is also given.
