Preliminary Report on Improving Effects of Limousin on Dabieshan Yellow Cattle

本文探讨了用利木赞牛冷冻精液改良大别山黄牛的效果。经测定 ,杂交一代的初生体尺和生长速度明显优于本地大别山黄牛。试验表明 ,杂交一代不仅能保持本地大别山黄牛的优点 ,同时还弥补了母本体躯不丰满、增重速度慢的缺点 ,说明利用利木赞牛作为父本改良本地大别山黄牛效果显著 ,杂交组合理想 。

The improving effects of Limousin on Dabieshan Yellow Cattle are reported in this article. The body sizes at birth and growth rate of crossbred F1 of Limousin and Dabieshan Yellow Cattle are significantly higher than those of Dabieshan Yellow Cattle. crossbred F1 individuals possess the advantages of Dabieshan Yellow Cattle and overcome its defects of body conformation and low growth rate. The results indicate that Limousin can be used as anideal sire breed to improve Dabieshan Yellow Cattle.
