An effective method of assembling the structural stiffness matrix in materi-al-nonlinear finite element methods was described in this paper.The method wasvery effective for assembling the structural stiffness matrix in material—nonlinear fi-nite element analyses.Furthermore,the application of the method to analyses of astable crack gwowth was described.
