摘要
研究了聚合物网络稳定的铁电液晶体系。实验表明,当在聚合物网络单体聚合的过程中施加低频交变电场作用后,所形成的聚合物网络具有空间排列的一致性。在聚合物网络的作用下铁电液晶分子的排列及在外电场作用下的光学特性不同于传统的表面双稳铁电液晶。实验中观察到了一新的液晶分子排列织构——条纹织构,从体系自由能的角度对条纹织构做出了的理论解释。同时获得了可实现多极灰度的新颖的“V”字型电光特性曲线。
お monomer with reactive diacrylate was mixed with a commercial ferroelectric liquid crystal(FLC)mixture and polymerized under UV irradiation with electric field application(±50V,5Hz) to obtain polymer networks stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystals(PNSFLC)Optical and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) were used to study the molecule texture and the polymer networks structure The electro-optic characteristics of PNSFLC cell was also measured A novel “V” shape EO curve was obtained so it is easier to get more gray scales than the conventional SSFLCD The polymer network formed in SmC* phase is anisotropic and fibril-like Furthermore it is found that a new type texture -the striped texture was observed in the PNSFLC cells We explained the phenomenon with the elastic free energy theory in the Sc* phase。
