摘要 GPS测高是利用GPS测量技术以间接和直接的方式测量海平面到椭球面的高度。本文介绍GPS测高的概念 ,分别论述机载GPS测高和浮标GPS测高两种技术的基本原理及可能的应用范围 ,并阐述了我国开展GPS测高研究的重要意义和有利条件。 The Global Positioning System (GPS) is able to make a direct or indirect measurement of the sea surface position that is so called GPS altimetry. This paper describes the details of the method of sea surface height measurements by airborne GPS altimetry and buoy GPS altimetry. The possibility and significance for applying GPS altimetry in China are discussed.\;
