Characteristics and Determinants of Arable Land Change in China

如何合理利用和保护耕地是我国现代化过程中面临的一个难题。对近年来我国耕地的变动状况和地区差异以及人口增长、经济发展和城市化过程对我国耕地变化的影响分别作了定量分析，在此基础上对我国的耕地占用水平进行了综合评价。

How to protect arable land in the process of modernization is a critical issue in China. This paper analyzes the arable land changes in China in the recent years, and then quantitatively studies the effects of population growth ,economic development and urbanization on arable land. Some judgement and policy implication of arable land use are given accordingly.
