This paper describes the reduction of the cylindricity error in a diamond turning process using an in-situ metrology system, an error separating technique, a piezo-electricmicro-positioning system, and a p-integrator repetitive controller. The scheme was realizedwith a diamond turning lathe and proven to be effective in reducing the cylindricity error byan order of magnitude.
