摘要
捷克斯洛伐克一分为二,有深刻的历史根源和现实原因,苏联东欧的剧变无疑起了催化作用。捷克和斯洛伐克两国舆论认为,联邦解体有喜有忧,领导人的看法以肯定为主,但不少人担心可能产生不利影响:两国的作用将削弱,经济上形势更加严峻,两国关系也将出现不少分歧和矛盾。捷斯两国需要经过较长时期,才可能克服种种矛盾和困难,逐步走上平稳的发展道路。
The division of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic into two coun-tries has both historical roots and present causes.The drastic changes that have taken placein the former Soviet Union and East Europe are undoubtedly a catalyst.The public opinion in Czech and Slovakia is mixed in reflections on the dissolution of thefederation:Leaders of the two countries take a more or less affirmative attitude;but manypeople are worried about possible adverse impact of the division:a weakening internationalrole and influence of the two countries,deteriorating domestic economic situation,andemerging divergences and contradictions between the two nations.It is a long way to go for Czech and Slovakia to handle various contradictions and manydifficulties before embarking on a road of steady development.
