A Brief Introduction to South Africa's Higher Education

南非是非洲经济最发达国家 ,也是该地区高等教育发达国家之一。本文分阶段回顾了南非高等教育发展的历史轨迹 ,并以两所著名大学为例剖析了南非高校的体制和特点。

In terms of economy, South Africa is the most developed country in Africa, and in the field of higher education, South Africa also comes the second (only next to Egypt) as a very developed country in the region. This article firstly reviews the history of South Africa's higher education development; then it analyses the system and characteristics of the country's universities with two famous universities (University of Cape Town and University of South Africa) as examples; and finally it points out the problems South Africa's higher education faces presently.
