《红字》两译本的对比研究

Contrastive study on the two Chinese versions of "The Scarlet Letter

本文从以下几个方面对上海译文出版社及译林出版社的《红字》译本进行了对比研究：一、词语指称意义的理解；二、语境与词义选择；三、文化差异与翻译；四、语言风格的移植。笔者认为译林出版社的译本在借鉴旧译的基础上实现了超越和突破，做到了形神兼备。

The essay makes a contrastive study on the two Chinese versions of 'The Scarlet Letter ' from the following aspects: ①the understanding of the referent meaning of words;②language context and choice of the meanings of words;③cultural difference and translation;④translation of language style. The essay thinks the Chinese version produced by Yilin Publishing House,with its singularity to the original version both in form and in spirit, transcends over the Chinese version published by Shanghai Translation Publishing House.
