中国当代先锋小说的先锋性表现为极力否定历史权威话语，拆除深度模式乃至消解自我价值，在艺术上采取极端形式，追求语言实验和叙事策略操作，实现了对传统小说主题和文本的“颠覆”。是一次勇敢的历险，也是一次无望的超越。因沉迷于极端个人化的语言乌托邦之中而找不到出路，先锋小说在九十年代迅速走向萎缩和回归，但它为当代小说在观念和艺术表现方面所作出的革命性贡献，是值得永远缅怀的。

The characters of 'modern Chinese pioneer novels'are that,on one hand, they spare no effort to negate historical authoritative language,dismantle deep patterns,and dispel self-value; on the other hand,they go to the extreme in arts,seeking language experiments and the operation of narrative strategies,then subvert the theme and style. of traditional novels,which is a brave experiment but impossible surpassing. Bacause the writers are indulged in utopia of extremely individual language and could not find a way out,pioneer novels rapidly withered and returned to normal in the 1990s. However their revolutionary contributions to modern novels in ideas and artistic expressions are forever worth cherishing.
