摘要
当代艺术的发展和禅宗历史的发展有着极为相似之处。具体表现在以下三个方面:1.方式上,从传统的抽象思辨转向现实生活实践;2.目标上,从永恒不变的形而上价值转向当下的感性体验;3.内容上,从对价值实体转向创作活动过程。当代艺术与禅宗生活化的历史意义是双重的:1.高扬了主体实践的历史本性;2.又因为其主观性而使这种发展往往变得平庸。通过这种比较可以看出:如何维护艺术与现实生活之间的张力,如何保证艺术生活化的同时不至于庸俗化,如何使艺术在解放感性的同时还要触及人类真实的心灵世界,如何在自由创新的同时还要守护艺术的社会理想,将是当代艺术发展所必须思考的问题。
The process of development between modern arts and Zen Buddhism shares similarities which can be illustrated in three aspects; first, from traditional abstract theory to living practice in terms of method; secondly, from permanent value of metaphysics to present intuition in terms of target; thirdly, from substance of value to practical process in terms of content. So, modern arts and Zen enjoy a dual historic significance to life. On the one hand it magnifies human initiative, and on the other it becomes mediocre for the reason of subjective manner. By the comparison we come to a conclusion that there is an urgent need to consider how to sustain the tension between arts and real life while avoiding mediocre, how to play the function of liberation of sensation while touching on human soul, and how to keep the balance of creating freely and maintaining the artistic ideal at the same time.
