What Do Poets Do? ——Contrast in the Value Idea of Poem between the West and China

本文从诗人的产生、地位和诗歌的起源、功能价值等方面论述了中西诗歌价值观念和艺术追求精神的差异 ,认为诗歌总是与时代要求和生命精神相连接 ,诗人只有站在时代的浪尖上 ,以敏感的心灵、敏锐的目光和满腔的热情去拥抱生活 ,才能创造出不负时代的伟大作品 ,才能真正体现诗人的社会价值和个体价值。诗人只有属于自己的时代 。

The paper is about the difference of the poems value idea and art spirit between the West and China in the poets emergent,position,origin,usage and so on.The author thinks that poems should be associated with the demands of the times and the spirits of life.Only by standing in the front of the times,can the poet create such great works with sensitive mind,sharp eyes and full enthusiasm,which can really reflect the value of society and individual.If the poet belongs to the times of himself,he can belong to the history of human.
