The article deals with the standard teaching system of the Chinese flower-and-bird painting by emphasizing the impontance of the training in freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese painting,in meticulous brushwork and short,simple artistic creation.This teaching system can help the students in normal colleges who major in the fine arts get the basic training in flower-and-bird painting and improve their aesthetic judeg ment.
