摘要
汉语“是”字义多用广，译者必须根据它所在的句子及上下文，搞清其词义和功能，才能选定恰当的英译法。本文拟通过实例，对此做一番初步分析和探讨。
The Chinese character'是'has many different meanings and usages, therefore, it should be translated according to the context. This article is going to give a further analysis and exploration through living examples.
