On the Correct Use of Quotation in Official Document Writing

“引用”这一修辞方法，在公文写作中得到普遍使用，但并没得到普遍重视。在写作过程中存在着随意性，影响了公文的写作质量和自身严肃性。本文通过对“引用‘这一修辞方法在写作中的作用、方法、内容和应遵循的原则的阐述。使人们进一步掌握它在公文写作中正确用法。以期提高我们的公文质量，使之更好地为党和国家行政机关的工作服务。

The figure of speech─quotation─has been widely used in official document writing. However, it has long been ignored and documents have been greatly weakened. This article intends to illustrate the functions, methods, contents and principles of this figure of speech. quotation, in order to ensure the correct use of it in official document writing. It is hoped that by imporving the quality of official documents, our Party and government adminstrative organizations could word even better.
