Liu Yong's Contribution to Song Ci Poem

柳永是宋初一位具有创新精神的词人，他对词的贡献表现在：一、内容的开拓；二、形式的创新；三、语言的质朴。柳永不仅敢于冲破前人的樊篱，形成自己独有的风格和意境，而且是一位在婉约派与豪放派词人之间铺桥筑路的词人。

Liu Yong was a writer of ci pome that possessed the spirit of making innovations. His com- tributions to ci pome are: 1. reclaimation of content; 2. new trails being blazed in forms; 3. simple and unadorned of language. Liu Yong not only had the courage to break confines of predcessor but also built a bridge between mild and roundaout writer and bold and unconstrained writer.
