Drawing on copious and interesting examples,this paper discusses the profound influence of classical Chinese poetry on Western,especially,American modernist podts,who have had sincere dialogues with ancient Chinese masters and assimilated their cultural and aesthetic merits into their poetic creations,thus boosting East-West cultural interflow.The paper goes on to illustrate the main models and media of the dialogues crossing time and space and the significance for the present world of globalization and integration.
