Two Topics on Ma Jianzhong's Life

本文把马建忠处理“朝鲜内乱”和出售招商局两事放在当时的历史环境中考察，通过清末笔记中的记述史实，作出重新评价，指出马建忠是一个优秀的外交家和爱国者。

The present paper intends to place Ma Jianzhong's treatment of'the korean Civil Strife' and his selling of the Bureau of Invitation of Outside Investment in the historical context. And with the help of the records and historical data in the late Qing notes, the paper gives a reappraisal of Ma Jianzhong,and concludes that he is an excellent diplomat and patriot.
