The present paper, based on central Asia in mid 19 century, expounds in detail 'sagacious but fruitless' policy implemented in central Asia by Britain and experiences of separating northwestern China's frontier region as Agubo invaded the region as well as makes a full affirmation of the solemn position taken by the Qing imperial court in defending the state sovereign right and insisting on recovery of Xinjiang against brutal force.
