金圣叹是中国文学批评史上的大家，除了对小说、戏曲评点外，他还批解过唐诗。金圣叹对唐诗的批评展现出独特的理论视野；开创分解批评理论；继承发展前代的“情景交融”说；重视虚字的艺术。

JIN Sheng-tan,a master of literature criticism in Chinese literary histrory,has commented on not only some Chinese novels and dramas,but also Tang poetry,on the basis of his unique poetical theory.He has initiated the Decomposition Theory,inherited and developed the older generation's Feeling-and-Setting-Blended Theory,and paid much attention to function words in his critical practice.
