The problem of population is an important part of the research of economic history. This article studies the problem why the population of Shu Han reduced rapidly. In the area ruled by Shu Han, the population had developed very rapidly in the Western and Eastern Han dynasties, but reduced rapidly and developed very slowly in the Shu Han dynasty.
