萨特在文艺思想和创作方法上提出“介入原则”和“主观感受真实性的原则”。他从进步的政治观点出发,始终主张作家要介入时代、介入社会,坚持反对“为艺术而艺术”,艺术本身就是目的的错误见解。萨特提出的主观感受真实性原则严格区别于现实主义客观真实性。尽管他强调主观性,但萨特在创作实践上并未与现实主义悖离,他的戏剧作品逐渐写出了具体的历史内容,真实生动地反映了二战后法国人民的感受。
As his theory of literary and dramatic creation, Sartre puts forward ‘the principle of inte rvention’ and ‘the principle of truth in subjective feeling’. He advocates that writers should int ervene in the age and society and he opposed views such as ‘art for art’s sake, or ‘art itself is purposl’. His principle of truth in the writer’s subjective feeling is different from that of realistic objective truth; yet his drama is not contrary to realistic literature. In his drama, more and more historic contents are presented, which vividly reflect the French peoples feelings after the Second World War.
