元刻《新编红白蜘蛛小说》残页浅探

Exploration of The Story of Red and White Spiders

1979年在西安发现的《新编红白蜘蛛小说》残页,使人们第一次看到了元刻宋代话本的真面目,是20世纪以来小说资料上的重大发现,然而关于它的研究极少,本文就残页故事的来源及流变进行考察,并将它置于宋元说话四家数的整体中分析其中“小说”一支的发展情况,充分显示出残页在版本鉴别意义之外还具有的艺术价值。

The relict piece, The Story of Red and White SpidersC New Edition) .discovered in Xi'an in 1979 ,disclosed for the first time what the scenario of storytelling in Song Dynasty, which had been engraved in Yuan Dynasty, really is. This is a significant discovery of story materials in the 20th century. So far, however, researches on this relict piece have been rare. This article examines its source and later development and analyses the evolution of one of the branches of fictions by placing the piece in the broad spectrum of the storytelling in the Song & Yuan Dynasty. Sufficient evidence shows that this relict piece has artistic value, besides the significant role it plays in edition verification.
