摘要
董斯张写作《西游补》,意在挑战《西游记》,试探自己的艺术才力。这决定了《西游补》的两个特点 :一是尊重《西游记》的影响 ,自觉做出艺术让步 ;二是费尽周折地改变已经由《西游记》确立的悟空形象 ,浮显自己的才情。
Wondering what his artistic ability would be, DONG S i -zhang made up his mind to challenge the Pilgrimage to the West by inserting a supplement to the former. This resulted in two features of his Supplements to Pi lgrimage to the West. First, enough things from the Pilgrimage to the West kept in DONG's novel. Second, DONG tried his best to make his Monkey SUN different fr om WU Chen-en's Monkey.
