摘要
针对一则标语的误译 ,提出了当前汉语标语英译过程中存在的三个方面的问题。分析了汉英标语在语体和句式特点上的异同 ,认为造成差异的主要原因在于中英思维方式上的差异。在此基础上 ,提出了标语翻译中应遵循的两条原则 ,作为该领域翻译的衡量标准和操作指导 ,即 :1 尊重英语的语言文化习惯 ;2 信息传递要准确明了。
The author of this thesis points out 3 problems existing in the process of present-day Chinese-English translation of slogans.It probes into the similarities and differenes in stylistic and linguistic characteristics between Chinese and English slogans.The author holds that the main causes of the differences lie in the different cultural backgrounds and different thinking modes between the Chinese and English people and puts forth two principles for the translation of slogans.1.Faithfulness to the linguistic and cultural habits of English people.2.Accuracy and conciseness in the information transference.
