As the only ideographical language still used in the world, Chinese ha s its own unique artistic charm. Chinese characters are not only the symbols of writing, but also carriers of Chinese thoughts. They contain Chinese people's ae sthetic thoughts, ethic thoughts, philosophical thoughts, and etc. Furthermore, a unique art - calligraphy - was developed based on Chinese characters. Chinese characters are the solid foundation of the Chinese culture.
