《三国演义》成书年代和作者生活时代一直尚无定论。关于作者生活时代的说法主要有“元末明初”、“宋代乃至以前”、“元代中后期”、“明中叶”等数说。成书年代的探讨则基本上以这种说法为框架。本文以史为经，以“说”为纬，对此作了详今略古、突出重点的梳理，以期鉴往知来，对今后《三国演义》的整体研究有所裨益。

The time of the.completion of compiling the book The Romance of Three Three and its author's time have have reached a final conclusion. The explanations to the author's time are mainly based on the explanations made by ancient scholars. The exploration to the completion of the book is basically framed on the basis of what is mentioned above. Taking the history as its warp and the 'explanation' as its woof, this paper combs out what scholars said about the subject with present detailed and ancient brief explanations. Stressing the main points in order to f know the future by borrowing the past, which is beneficial to the future study of the wholeness of Romance of Three Kingdoms.
