《桃花扇》散发着浓郁的兴亡之感 ,但它不是一般意义上的政治历史剧 ,该剧是文人自省之作 ,是中国文学史上第一部集中关注文人总体命运的长篇叙事作品。理由 :1.文人是戏曲的主角 ;2 .情节的总体流向显示出大众对文人的背弃 ;3.作者加工史料有意厚武薄文 ;正面人物中无一为纯粹文人 。

Peach Blossom Fan sends forth tastes of rise and fall,but it is by no means a general historical play of politics.It is the first full length narrative literature,which pays close attention to the fate of literati.It was created by the author while reflecting on himself.The reasons are as follows:1.Literati are the leading roles in the play.2.The circumstances show the masses desertion to literati.3.The literati did not play an important role in the authoropinion on historical arrangement.There is no positive literati in the story,even the literati who could be highly praised.
