The conservatism initiated by Burke mainly includes the following features: respect for history, tradition, authority, and separation of power, emphasis on the function of religion and morality in society, concern for details of reform, interest in private property, the view that societies should be appropriately hierarchical, and so on. The key point of conservatism lies with the respect for individual human beings. But in the name of stressing the market principle, the neo conservatism actually ignores and even sacrifices the weak people's interests.
