An Interpreation of Checking Statutes for Issuing Lacguer in Chin Law

秦简《效律》中有关于禀漆的规定 ,目前在理解上存在疑义 ,有人认为是质量检验条款 。

There has been some doubts as to the interpretation of the stipulations for issuing lacquer in checking statutes written on bamboos slips of Chin Dynasty.In stead of viewing them as articles for quality inspection as other experts have understood,the author of this paper has found out that the rules actually concerned fine provisions for quantity examination in the process of issuing lacquer from another prefecture by artisans who were imposed a fine for a shortage.
