选本是一种特殊的文学批评方式 ,它以繁盛的创作成果为对象 ,体现选家的主观意图和当时的文学思想。现存“唐人选唐诗”10种 ,涉及整个唐代 ,遍及各个流派 ,且标准各异 ,目的不一。其中 ,盛唐殷的《河岳英灵集》崇尚风骨声律兼备 ,涉及盛唐诗歌与汉魏六朝的继承关系。中唐元结的《箧中集》意趣风雅 ,倡导诗经精神。晚唐韦毂的《才调集》追求审美的丰富多彩 。

Selected works is a special form of the literary criticism. It uses rich literary works to reflect the critics' subjective intention and the literary ideology at that time. There are ten categories of “selected poems by people in Tang Dynasty” left now. They go through the whole Tang Dynasty and include different schools. Both criterion and intention are different, for example: The Collection of National Great People written by Yin Fan, who lived in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. This book upholds the combination of vigor of style and rhythm and touches upon the relationship between the poems of the prosperous Tang Dynasty and Han-Wei Six Dynasties. Another book- The Suitcase Anthology written by Yuan Jie in the mid-Tang, advocates with refined taste the spirit of The Book of Songs . The book Collection of Essence written by Wei Hu in the late Tang Dynasty seeks the aesthetic colourfulness, and it is extensively comprehensive.
