《狂人日记》关于“吃人”的社会批评 ,主要是一种对中国家族制度的文化形态进行反思之后的严厉抨击 ,鲁迅从家族内部的陈腐的伦理关系入手深刻概括了中国人处在家族制社会中卑劣的生存状态 ,让读者在“吃人”境层上去切实感知中国家族制度及其儒家思想这一文化依托的虚伪性。《狂人日记》也展露出鲁迅自己那种来源于某些传统文化的束缚的难以张扬但可以领略的心理弱势。

A Madman's Diary by Lu Xun was the first short story in the history of modern Chinese literature,which shows clearly the writer's outright anti imperialist and anti feudal views by criticizing the society of “man eating”,and shows the writer's own mentality originated from the traditional Chinese culture.
