Probe into the Final[ε] in the Dictionary of Lichuan Dialect

《黎川方言词典》一书“ε ”韵字的发音并不符合黎川县城一带的语音实际。其发音不是来自该书的调查地 :黎川日锋镇、潭溪乡一带 ,而是来自离县城很远的宏村镇、樟溪乡、西城乡等地。词典中的“ε ”韵字当一分为三 :“oi ” ,“ei ” ,“ε ”。本文就此析别。

Characters in Lichuan dialect with the final [ε] recorded in the Dictionary of Lichuan Dialect are different from the real pronunciation of the places around Lichuan county town (Rifeng).The pronunciations of all these characters in the book weren't recorded from such investigation spots-Rifeng and Tanxi as the book was based on , but they seem to have been recorded from the spots of Hongcun,Zhangxi, Xicheng,etc.,which are far from the country town (Rifeng). Virtually,the characters with the final [ε] in the dictionary should be divided into three categories, i.e.,one with the final [oi], one with [ei], and the other [ε].This article will give a description of the problem mentioned above.
