The third generation leaders centered around Jiang Zemin put forward the need of sticking to and im- proving democratic centralism under new situations and push forward the construction of democratic centralism in the aspects of developing the Party's democracy, maintaining the central govemment' saut hority, adhering to and im- proving co1lective leading combined with personal responsibilities, strengthening and improving supervision within the Party.
