为教学和科研服务，是高校图书馆的重要职能之一。不断提高服务水平和质量，是图书馆流通工作者一贯的目标，它应当成为一种价值取向。但这一目标的实现是以流通馆员的素质为基础的。

To provide service for teaching and scientific research it an important role of the library in institutions of higher learning. It is always the aim for the librarians of the circulation dept. to develop their level and quality of service. It should also reflect their value. But the aim can be achieved only based on the quality of the librarians in the circulation dept.
