唐代豪侠小说的发展分为初、盛、中、晚四个时期 ,中期是唐豪侠小说的繁荣时期 ,表现出浓厚的神秘色彩。唐豪侠小说的内容丰富 ,大致可分四类 :宣扬侠义精神 ,歌颂侠客行侠仗义之举 ;展现侠客在政治斗争中的风采 ;写复仇主题 ;展示侠客神奇武功和神秘的法术。唐豪侠小说产生的社会文化背景较为复杂 ,唐代任侠风气的高涨、佛道二教的兴盛、中晚唐社会的动荡、文人的“作意好奇”是其繁荣的主要原因。

Novels about chivalrous man is an important part of Tang Dynasty novels.This thesis probes into the development、feature、main content and the cause of formation about Legend novels in Tang Dynasty initially.The develoment of Tang novels about chivalrous man is divided into four periods and the middle period is the flourishing part,which shows a thick secretary colour. Its content is very plentiful and can be divided into four types: first,publicising heroic spirit and behave;second,emerging the graceful bearing of heros when they play in the political struggle;third,writing about the avenge subject;forth ,showing the heros' mystical military and the secretary magic arts.The social background of the novels is complicated.The upsurge of heroic general mood , the development of Buddhism and Taoism as well as turbulence of latter Tang Dynasty and the curiosity of the writers are the chief reasons of the flourish of Tang Legend novels.
