关于西部地区城市化发展问题的思考

Reflections on the Development of City Modernization of the West Area

加速城市化进程成为中国 2 1世纪的历史选择。西部地区的城市化水平还很低 ,城市、体系、规模、等级、结构还很不合理。造成西部城市化进程缓慢的主要因素是农村经济发展滞后 ,城市产业结构老化 ,技术水平低以及小城镇主体虚弱等。为此 ,必须制定科学合理的城市发展战略目标 ;提高工业化水平 ;发展农村经济 ,以加速整个西部地区城市化的进程。

Speeding up the course of city modernization has become a historical choice of China in the twenty-first century. At present, the city modernization level in the west area is still low. The urban systematic scale and the urban stratification are still unreasonable. The main factors that cause the slow course of city modernization in the west area are the standstill of the rural economic development of the west area, the aging of the urban in dustrial structure, the low technological level and the weakness of most towns, etc. Therefore fere, we should have scientific, reasonable city development strategic objectives; raise the industrialization level; develop the rural economy in order to quicken the whole course of city modernization of the west area.
