The integrative application of 3S (RS GIS GPS) technology to forest resource investigation and land types investigation is expounded first. The authors introduced the feasibility, technique route and production precision in Lhasa forest resource investigation by means of 3S technology, and advanced the application foreground in Tibet forest investigation of 3S technology for the future.
