General outline of granular silica type VRLA battery

摘要 硅粉阀控铅酸蓄电池与普通贫液式和胶体阀控铅酸蓄电池不同。硅粉阀控铅酸蓄电池是将颗粒二氧化硅紧密填充在极板之间和极板群组周围,电解液保持在正、负极板、隔板和颗粒二氧化硅中。紧密填充的颗粒二氧化硅从各个方向对极板施加高的均匀压力,抑制活性物质和板栅的失效,从而提高铅酸蓄电池的循环寿命。文章介绍了硅粉阀控铅酸蓄电池制造中的若干问题。 : Granular silica type valve-regulated lead-acid(VRLA) battery is different from conventional starved-type and gelled-type batteries.In this battery,granular silica was filled in the spaces between the plates and around the elements.The electrolyte was retained in the positive plates,the negative plates,the separators and the granular silica.The tightly filled granular silica applies high and uniform compression to the plates from every directions,and it is expected to suppress the deterioration of the active materials and grids,thus it will provide longer cycle life.General outline of this battery was reviewed in this paper.
