SODIUM POLYACRYLATE MODULATION OF APATITE COATING ON TITANIUM PREPARED BY BIOMIMETIC APPROACH

摘要 Biomimetic apatite coating was prepared on chemically modified titanium surface by soaking in supersaturated solution.When sodium polyacrylate was introduced into the solution at 0.48mg/L,crystal size was significantly reduced,the crystal geometry shifted from flakes to spherilites and made the coating denser.Polyacrylatewas inhibited while also triggered growth of hydroxyapatite crystals.Polyacrylate mimicked the role of organic matrix modulation in biomineralization.
