用AAL0适配VBR MPEG-2业务

目前ATM论坛尚未制订出适配VBRMPEG 2业务的相关规范 ,因此多数应用仍然采用AAL5适配VBRMPEG 2业务。通过分析和仿真研究 ,我们发现AAL5适配VBRMPEG 2业务的性能比较差。因此我们提出了用AAL0适配VBRMPEG 2业务 ,并给出了相应的适配算法描述。仿真结果表明AAL0适配VBRMPEG

So far the ATM Forum has not released any specification concerning the adaptation of VBR MPEG 2 traffic,most applications still make use of AAL5 to transport VBR MPEG 2.By analysis and simulation,we found that the performance of AAL5 transporting VBR MPEG 2 is not good.We recommend the adaptation of VBR MPEG 2 over AAL0,namely AAL0-MPEG,the adaptation algrithm is presented in details.AAL0-MPEG is proved to be better than AAL5-MPEG by simulation.
