The Cultural Duality and Improvement of Teaching of English Culture

本文试从文化的定义入手 ,由文化具有双层次性的特征 ,引伸出文化教学的两个层次 ,指出了我国目前英语文化教学中存在的不足 ,并从实际出发 。

This paper introduces a number of definitions of culture, the duality of culture, and the dual elements of the teaching of culture. It points out some shortcomings in the teaching of English culture in this country and makes several recommendations for improvement.
