摘要 概述了融盐铝电解中若干物理化学问题 ,这些是 5 0多年来作者一直思索着的问题·其中涉及电极湿润性 ,金属在融盐中的溶解 ,制取铝基母合金 ,工业铝电解槽的能量平衡 ,以及低温铝电解·所得的结论 ,是也有 ,非也有 ,希望继续加以研究· Some physico chemical problems were discussed in aluminium electrolysis. The wettability of electrodes(carbon and platinum)by molten electrolyte changes greatly with and without being electrolized. The anode which produces gas will repel the molten electrolyte while the cathode which produces metal will attract it. A see through cell made of fused quartz was used to visualize the metal dissolution process in the cryolite solution. The metal fog formed shows different colors. Aluminium fog is violet,potassium fog is green. The metal fog is composed of very fine particles,so the molten cryolite becomes a mixture of true solution and colloidal solution. The experimental results of making Al based master alloys such as Al Ti,Al Mg alloys are also discussed. The energy balance of 24 cells with different current capacities from 27kA to 280?kA in recent 50 years is analyzed.Finally,the development tendency of aluminium electrolysis at lower temperatures is extensively discussed.
