清末中国报刊对“黄祸”论的反应

Newspapers and Magazines' Response to the Idea of Yellow Peril in Late Qing Dynasty

对于 1 9世纪末 2 0世纪初在西方国家喧嚣一时的“黄祸”论 ,中国有近 1 0种报刊作出过反应 ,一是译载过外国的有关文章 ,二是发表了若干辩驳和表达联想、感受的作品。由于译作者们受到认识水平和政治立场的限制 ,前者虽是客观译介 ,但使人难窥全貌 ;后者近于人云亦云 ,未能根据事理详加批驳 ,在因中外关系而联系到内政时 ,还表达了若干错误见解 ,与孙中山先生对“黄祸”论的回应相比 。

There were nearly 10 newspapers and magazines responding to the idea of Yellow Peril once hotly advocated in Western Country during the Late 19th century and 20th century.One way of their response was to translate and publish the foreign articles,the other way was to publish some essays arguing against the idea and expressing imagination and feelings.Due to the translators' recognition level and political opinion,all former had objectively introduced pieces of the foreign argument,it's difficult to see the whole;While the later just nearly repeated others,failing to refute the wrong idea with reasons,and even arguing wrongly when mentioning the home politics in relation to the Sino-foreign relation.The newspapers and magazines' response had obvious shortcomings compared to Mr.Sun Zhong-shan's.
