Geomorphical Characteristics in the Bordering Coastal Area Between Liaoning and Hebei Provinces and Their Significance in Sea-Area Division

摘要 辽冀海域勘界调查区海岸与海底地貌调查研究结果表明,调查区海岸与海底地貌均大致以红石嘴附近向海一线为界,分为东、西两大部分。西部是受大石河入海泥沙影响的以堆积作用为主的地貌发育区,潮间带以沙滩为主,水下岸坡上有大石河三角洲和水下阶地发育,陆架平原由早期大石河水下三角洲堆积体为骨架构成;东部红石嘴至环海寺地嘴之间是以岬角侵蚀物质供给为主的地貌发育区,潮间带以海蚀平台和砂砾滩为主,水下岸坡上暗礁成片分布,没有水下阶地发育。由于泥沙来源有限,海底动力地貌过程以侵蚀作用为主。芷锚湾海区是以自娘娘庙至芷锚湾一带沿岸小河入海泥沙供给的、以近岸堆积、水下岸坡侵蚀为特征的地貌发育区。 The study area is located in the bordering coastal zone between Liaoning and Hebei Provinces, starting from the Tianjia Village in Hebei Province in the west to the Xiaolizhuang Village in Liaoning Province in the east. Results of investigation indicate that the coastal and submarine geomorphical pattern in the study area can be divided into two parts: the western and eastern parts, with the division line extending seawards from the Hongshizui headland. The geomorphical features in the western part are developed mainly by deposition with the sediment supply from the Dashihe River. As a result, the intertidal zone is composed mainly of sand beaches, a subaqueous river delta and a submarine terrace are developed in the nearshore zone, and the shelf plain is developed on the basis of the old river delta system of the Dashihe River. The submarine geomorphical features in the eastern part are developed with the sediment supply from the erosion of the bedrock capes and submarine rock reefs in the area from the Hongshizui Headland to the Huanhaisidizui Cape in the eastern part. As the sediment supply is relatively poor, the dynamical geomorphical process in this area is characterized mainly by erosion. The intertidal zone is composed mainly of abrasional platforms and gravel-sand beaches; there are wide tracts of submarine rock reefs, while no submarine terrace is developed in the nearshore zone along the coast from the Hongshizui Headland to the Huanhaisidizui Cape. The submarine geomorphical features in the Zhimao Bay are developed with the sediment supply from the small rivers along the coast from the Niangniang Temple to the Zhimao Bay, and the dynamical geomorphical process is characterized by deposition near the coast and erosion in the middle and lower nearshore zones.
