通过对西方古代首饰文化的产生和发展、对不同地区、不同阶段的首饰主题的来源及特点的思考以及对相关的历史进行分析 ,揭示了首饰作为艺术文化的一部分是社会的象征 ,特定的社会背景产生特定的首饰主题和形式。

Through the thinking of the sources and features of jewellery motif in different areas and stages of ancient jewellery culture, and of the history analysis, we can reveal that jewellery, as a part of art culture, is the social representation. Under the given social conditions, the particular jewellery motif and form will be produced. Understanding this will be very helpful for us to study and grasp the popular motif and form of modern jewellery.
