Reading ability includes identification, understanding and fast remembrance of written language, which are interrelated. Understanding is the basis as well as the aim of reading. Reading without comprehension is wasting time and is meaningless. Without a certain speed, most students and foreign language learners cannot obtain more information from the written materials quickly, which is the problem they are faced with when reading.
