《学衡》杂志是我国近现代期刊史上极重要的文史哲综合性学术期刊之一。该刊插画栏不仅从肖像画、宗教画、风景画、雕塑、建筑艺术等方面向读者展示了群星璀璨的中外文化名人及价值连城的世界美术名作，而且从《学衡》的办刊宗旨、整体内容、作者群体三方面展示了学衡派的人文景观。

Xueheng was one of the most important comprehensive academic journal on literature, history and philosophy in modern and contemporary history of journals of China. The illustrations of portraits, icons, land- scape paintings, sculptures and the art of architecture in the journal reflects not only the famous Chinese and foreign persons of letters and invaluable masterpieces of art of the world, but the cultural interests of Xueheng School from its running aim, general content and authors.
