After the Second World War. the USA carried out a series of adjustments in higher education. This includes es- tablishing the strategic position of higher education through legislation, pushing forward the reform in higher ed, training high level specialists, strengthening the research of science and technology, and increasing the investment in higher educa- tion. These efforts have not only promoted the development of the education, science and technology, but also the develop- ment of American economy.
